The International Commission on Dynamical Meteorology is a constituent Commission of the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences (IAMAS). It is composed of scientists from a wide range of countries who are committed to furthering the pursuit of and international cooperation in the science of dynamical meteorology.

The ICDM participates in and co-organizes additional workshops on topics such as blocking and/or stochastics parameterization. Please return here for further information as plans develop. Please contact any of the ICDM officers if you are interested in participating in the planning of symposia.

ICDM is promoting ‘The First TEAMx Workshop' (Multi-scale transport and exchange processes in the atmosphere over mountains programme and experiment) in Rovereto, Italy on 28-30 August, 2019. For details: click here.

ICDM has developed 9 symposia for the next IUGG meeting, to be held in Montreal Canada in July 2019. For more details see the 27th IUGG website.

At IAMAS Assemblies, ICDM sponsors a symposium on 'High-impact Weather and Climate Extremes'. Both lead convenors of this popular symposium in Montreal are retiring from lead convening and new lead convenors are sought for the short term prediction time scales and climate projection time scales.
