The International Commission on Dynamical Meteorology is a constituent Commission of the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences (IAMAS). It is composed of scientists from a wide range of countries who are committed to furthering the pursuit of and international cooperation in the science of dynamical meteorology.

The ICDM will hold a workshop on the "Dynamics and Predictability of High-impact Weather and Climate Events" in Kunming, China during 6-9 August 2012. The workshop will feature keynote lectures from members of the commission and other invited experts. The workshop format is designed to encourage interaction amongst the participants.
